About
Matt serves as Vice President – Debt & Equity in the Newport Beach office, where his responsibilities include originating, underwriting, and fulfilling commercial and multifamily clients’ needs across the capital stack. Matt works with the Northmarq’s preferred national lending platform which consists of an industry leading life company correspondent network, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/HUD, conduit lenders, debt funds, banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions. Prior to focusing on his own production in 2023, Matt supported the Newport Beach office as an investment analyst underwriting and closing over $1 billion of senior debt for acquisitions and refinances. His real estate career began at Northmarq in 2018, where he spent 3 years with the Northmarq Capital Finance team as a Fannie Mae underwriting analyst in Dallas, Texas. Here, he underwrote and closed more than $850 million in multifamily loans with an average loan size of $20,000,000. Matt grew up in the Bay Area and received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Texas Christian University. In his free time, Matt enjoys the outdoors primarily hiking and golfing.
