Marc Magazine joined Savills in 2011 to be its executive managing director of the Hospitality Group. Before joining the firm, Marc was a principal of Humboldt Hospitality, a full-service hospitality advisory company that he co-founded with Tom Baker. Before forming Humboldt, Marc was senior vice president with CBRE and led its hotel partners division in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area. In this capacity, Marc provided hospitality real estate advisory services to owners, developers, lenders, hotel chains, operators and governments. He assisted clients in economic and market-based consulting, financing, investment analysis, venture structuring, management selection, contract negotiation, and strategic planning. In recent years, Marc has closed over $4 billion in hotel transactions.
Marc’s hotel experience began when his family owned the Hay Adams Hotel and as general manager, he had the hotel accepted as one of the ‘Leading Hotels of the World’.
