Mr. Durst has been active in the real estate brokerage business since 1982. For over 39 years he has specialized in the leasing and sale of commercial real estate in the Metropolitan New York City marketplace and its surrounding suburbs, with an emphasis on retail properties. In 2007, Marc merged his brokerage company into Sholom & Zuckerbrot Realty. Major clients for Mr. Durst have included Ann Taylor Stores, AT&T Wireless, Planet Fitness, Blockbuster Video, Burlington Department Stores, Chase Bank, Citibank, Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins, Chipotle, Starbucks, PM Pediatrics, City MD, Gothic Cabinet Craft, LA-Z-Boy Furniture, Rainbow Shoppes, Mattress Firm, Toys R Us and McDonalds to name a few. Many of these companies have completed multiple transactions with Marc over the years. Mr. Durst has assisted many retailers with their expansion roll-out programs within the region. On behalf of long-time client Aarons Rent to Own, Marc has assisted the company with 10 (+) store leases and securing a warehouse/distribution center for the company.
