Jose Minaya is the Chief Executive Officer of Nuveen, the investment manager of TIAA. He has over 26 years of investment experience, including roles at AIG Global Investment Group, Merrill Lynch, and JP Morgan. He is responsible for Nuveens vision, strategy, and day-to-day operations. Minaya serves as chair of the Nuveen Executive Committee and is also a member of the TIAA Executive Committee. He is a distinguished recipient of the 2016 Toigo Blazing Trails award for his commitment to the education and leadership of the next generation of financial-services talent. Minaya is the Executive Sponsor of the Inclusion and Diversity initiative for TIAA and serves on multiple boards including the Robert Toigo Foundation and the National Forest Foundation.
