John began his brokerage career at Massey Knakal (now Cushman & Wakefield) where he spent seven years and led the top ranked firm’s expansion into Westchester County. Subsequently, John joined Admiral Real Estate as their Investment Sales Division Head. In 2017, he joined RM Friedland as Managing Director of the Investment Sales Division. John specializes in the sale of income producing assets of all types: multi-family, retail, office, development sites, industrial and user properties Westchester, Fairfield and Rockland and Orange Counties.
Since 2005 John has evaluated and marketed over 950 million dollars’ worth of investment real estate in the New York Metro area specializing in Westchester County. John has been recognized by The Bronx- Manhattan North Association of Realtors as a Multi-Million Dollar Producer. Mr. Barrett has been featured or quoted in many publications including the New York Times and Crain’s New York.
