Jim Linn, SIOR, joined Newmark in early 2019 as an executive managing director in the firm’s Downtown Los Angeles office, where he focuses on industrial capital markets. Mr. Linn partners with Executive Managing Director Bret Hardy and Co-Head of U.S. Capital Markets Kevin Shannon. Mr. Linn brings to his position more than 30 years of experience investing in industrial investment. His areas of expertise include new business development, market and positioning strategy, team building, client relationship management, contract negotiations, underwriting, due diligence and closing. Prior to Newmark, Mr. Linn was founding partner and president of the west region of Talos Capital, an industrial core plus, value add and opportunistic national investment firm specializing in tier I and tier II U.S. markets. Responsible for the Western U.S., Mr. Linn focused on industrial acquisitions and dispositions in Northern California, Southern California and Greater Seattle.
