Jay Weitzman began his career in the apparel industry, where he worked for over 30 years building his company from the ground up into a $40MM business. During that time, he acquired some industrial properties to manufacture and store his inventory, occasionally renting some space out to other tenants, in what would become one of the hottest real estate markets in New York City.
Jay and Michael began their development careers upon noticing changes to the Williamsburg market. They took a huge risk and rather than selling Jay’s properties, decided to develop them into large scale mixed-use buildings. Jay has over 250K SF in completed projects and he and his team are currently working on another 400K SF.
Jay brings his decades of business experience to the table. He is a skilled negotiator and is unafraid to take risks. Jay is not one to beat around the bush, enabling him to resolve issues effectively and quickly.
Jay is a passionate and kind man who cares deeply about what he is doing and who he is doing it with. He loves having breakfast with his wife, playing with his grandchildren, and spending time with his kids.
