Jay Harold Shidler is an American investor and philanthropist. He is the managing partner of The Shidler Group, a national real estate investment organization. Shidler graduated from the University of Hawaii in 1968 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He founded The Shidler Group in 1971 and has since acquired and owned more than 2,000 commercial properties in 40 U.S. states and Canada. Shidler has also co-founded several publicly traded companies, including TriNet Corporate Realty Trust, First Industrial Realty Trust, and Corporate Office Properties Trust.
