Jay is a Managing Director in the Florida office of JLL Capital Markets Americas. A seasoned multi-housing sales professional, Jay has handled the sale of apartments, land for development, as well as arranged debt & equity for new assets development. Over the course of his career, he has concluded transactions involving over 250 properties valued in excess of $6.5 billion for clients, including public and private companies, insurance companies, REIT’s, pension fund advisors, regional and national multi-housing developers and condo converters. Prior to joining JLL, Jay worked with Cushman & Wakefield, where he earned the honor of Top Producer (2005), Top Investment Producer (2010-2014) and Deal of the Year (2010). Before this, he was with The Apartment Group and JFB Properties. CFCRES also honored him as Top Ten Investment Producers consecutively for about a decade. Jay’s interests involve, golf and water sports. Married to Luanne Cherney, a Master LPGA teaching professional, they split their time between travel and supporting Men’s and Women’s High School & Amateur Golf.
