About
Issa Abbassi joined Newmark in 2013 and currently serves as a director in the New York office, where he is mainly responsible for the procurement and execution of investment sales and investment advisory assignments. Since 2010, Mr. Abbassi has been an advisor in approximately $5.6 billion in transactions across all major asset classes nationally.
Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Abbassi worked with Deutsche Bank, Allied Advisors and State Street, gaining experience in real estate equity investment, commercial brokerage and real estate fund administration. At Deutsche Bank, he managed the financial reporting and accounting for 60 office, industrial and retail properties nationwide within various portfolios of comingled real estate equity funds, separate accounts and pension funds. At Allied Advisors, Mr. Abbassi evaluated office, hotel, and retail assets and provided transaction services to institutions, REITs, international and private funds. At State Street, Mr. Abbassi provided fund administration for opportunistic real estate funds with over $3 billion of committed capital.
