Dee Thompson is the Owner and Chief Construction Officer at Urbane Home, a real estate development and design firm based in Chicago, Illinois. Dee is an Ohio native has real estate passion and construction expertise in delivering a superior product offering that's transforming the landscape of some of Chicago's most prestigious neighborhoods. While searching for her first home in the 1990s, Dee first discovered her true love of real estate and design. After a challenging search in looking for her first Chicago home, Dee stumbled upon a dilapidated 3-unit building that was over one hundred years old but in one of city's prime neighborhoods. She decided to take this challenge and create an opportunity by trying her hand at converting the multi-unit building into a single-family home. While Dee faced some hurdles throughout the renovation process, she leveraged her extensive project management expertise and successfully completed the project in only seven months.
