Not to get too wrapped up in this. I was in the Army Reserves for 8 years. I was the communications chief assigned to a military police battalion. Got a humanitarian service medal out of it. I worked in the corporate world for 20 plus years as a warehouse manager for the Mid-West region. I'm a trained professional cook. Graduate of the Art Institutes, Culinary Arts School in Chicago which later landed me a JOB as the Plant manager for a Sushi Production Plant. I started my real estate career back in 2011 as a wholesaler. I took a course on acquiring properties subject two and I was hooked. I had a hand full of partners along the way. Most were bad fits. I finally joined a small group of investors back in 2014 as their Director of Sales and Leasing. Our business model was to buy properties cash, rehab them and then use lease option as our exit strategy. It was working well until one of the principle owners took off with the reserves.
