David Oropeza, Managing Director, joined Cushman and Wakefield in 2023 after almost 38 years with Gebroe-Hammer Associates' where he was a top sales brokers since joining the firm in 1986. He has overseen brokerage activity throughout Northern New Jersey, where he has emerged as an inner-city market specialist focusing on the East Orange/Oranges, Newark and Irvington markets. Throughout his career, he has sold more than $2 billion in commercial real estate, including over 20,000 multi-family units. A specialist in selling and marketing urban multi-family investment properties, Mr. Oropeza is widely recognized for his deal-structuring expertise and industry relationships. He also has emerged as an investor advocate in the East Orange marketplace, where he has sold more than $600 million and 10,000 total units during the course of his 30-year investment brokerage career with the firm. In addition, his achievements include organizing and hosting an East Orange Multi-Family Investment Roundtable, an informational exchange between some of the city’s most prominent apartment-building owners and a local council member.
