Formerly, he was founder of Brookland Capital Partners, a global finance and strategic consulting company. His clients include the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Republic of Chile and several tribal nations among others.David was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve as National Director of the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), a U.S. Department of Commerce agency focused on increasing the global competitiveness of the nation’s 8 million minority-owned and operated business. Under his leadership, MBDA had the best 5-year performance in its 45-year history placing over $19 billion of capital and contracts in the hands of US businesses.
