Brian grew up in the Western Piedmont area of North Carolina before attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received his B.A. in Biology. From there he moved to Raleigh where he began his career by launching a small business start-up servicing the local dental community. While running and building his business he developed skills in areas such as client needs assessment, business development, oral and written communication, complex negotiations, and problem solving that would later be of enormous benefit in the field of commercial real estate. He sold his business after 7 years of successful operation and growth so that he and his wife Katie could move closer to their families and start one of their own.
