Brian Bowis joined Newmark in 2016 as managing director for the Southern California institutional multifamily team with a focus on debt and equity placement. He is also integrally involved with investment sales of stabilized assets and development sites. Since joining Newmark, Mr. Bowis has closed more than $700 million in multifamily transactions.
Prior to Newmark, Mr. Bowis was vice president of finance at NMS Properties, one of the largest private developers of multifamily properties in Los Angeles. In that role, he was directly responsible for the closing of more than $550 million of debt and equity transactions. His role also included acquisitions, dispositions, underwriting and asset management. Mr. Bowis oversaw the acquisition of more than $120 million of multifamily investment and development properties.
Prior to joining NMS, Mr. Bowis was a senior producer with Freddie Mac Multifamily in Los Angeles. A consistent Top Producer on a national level, Mr. Bowis closed more than 300 transactions with a combined value of $4 billion throughout all major markets in the western United States.
