Authentic Brands Group Acquires Lee's Intellectual Property From Kontoor Brands

Authentic Brands Group has completed its acquisition of the intellectual property of Lee from Kontoor Brands, following a definitive agreement signed in May 2026. Founder and Executive Chairman Jamie Salter said the company plans to expand Lee’s global reach through its licensing model, with operating partners secured across the U.S., Canada, Europe, China and Mexico. Founded in 1889, Lee generates approximately $1.5 billion in annual retail-equivalent sales across 73 countries.
