Akamai Technologies Secures $11.6 Billion Deal With Anthropic For Cloud Infrastructure

Akamai Technologies has secured an $11.6 billion, seven-year deal with Anthropic to provide distributed cloud infrastructure for CPU workloads, the largest contract in its history. The agreement, which can expand by another $9 billion, will require Akamai to invest about $5.5 billion in capital expenditures and builds on a $1.8 billion deal signed in May, bringing the companies’ total relationship to roughly $13.4 billion.
