Valley National Bank is acquiring Israeli-founded fintech Bluevine for approximately $340 million, gaining a digital small-business banking platform serving about 175,000 customers, $2.1 billion in digitally sourced deposits and roughly 180 technology employees. Founded in 2013 by Eyal Lifshitz and Nir Klar, Bluevine will see co-founder and CEO Eyal Lifshitz join Valley as head of small-business banking, as the deal accelerates the bank’s digital and AI strategy.
