H Hotel LLC has unveiled new renderings of the Xadia Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. This 42-story hotel tower, located on 57 West 39th Street, promises to transform the city skyline with its striking design. Standing tall at 475 feet, the structure will offer 173 luxurious guest rooms with breathtaking panoramic views. In addition to the accommodation, guests will be treated to a range of amenities including a restaurant, arcade, and a stylish rooftop bar. The project is the brainchild of Marin Architects and Wei Hong Hu, with construction being carried out by City Cross Construction Corp. Situated just one block south of Bryant Park, on a narrow interior plot between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, the Xadia Hotel is perfectly situated for guests to explore the heart of Midtown.

A New Era of Design in Midtown

The Xadia Hotel has been making waves in the world of architecture and design since its construction began in early 2020. The journey to its current form has been one of constant refinement and innovation. The initial design, featuring a domed cap above the cantilever, caught the eye with its striking aesthetic. However, the architects decided to take the design in a different direction, opting for a flowing, angled pinnacle that added a touch of elegance. The latest renderings depict a unique finishing touch - a flat parapet with minimalist ornamentation. The crown of the tower, composed of gray paneling and metal grilles, has been meticulously designed with cutout corners, creating a visually captivating effect.

But it's not just the exterior that deserves attention. The interior of the Xadia Hotel promises to be a haven of luxury. Expertly crafted renderings by DHT Design showcase the guest rooms and bathrooms, adorned with exquisite marble walls and flooring. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the design, ensuring that guests will be immersed in a world of opulence and comfort.

The team behind the Xadia Hotel, led by Walter Marin, founder, and senior principal at Marin Architects, recognized the incredible opportunity to merge hospitality expertise with an understanding of New York City's complex zoning laws. With this innovative project, they are not only introducing a remarkable new addition to the city's skyline but also playing a significant role in the ongoing reimagining of Midtown.

A Tower Reimagined: New Floors and Structural Upgrades

Since our last update in December, exciting developments have taken place at the construction site of 58 West 39th Street in Midtown Manhattan. The tower has undergone significant transformations with the addition of additional floors and structural improvements.

Recent photographs reveal the progress made, showcasing the latest stories as they are supported by sturdy wooden formwork. The settling concrete and the installation of diagonal steel trusses within the cantilever levels attest to the efforts invested in ensuring the tower's stability and strength.

One notable change occurs at the 18th floor, where the columns at the two northern corners gracefully transition from square to cylindrical, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the building. The process of facade installation is yet to begin, leaving room for anticipation and imagination as to the final outcome.

Situated near the site are various access points for seamless transportation, including the B, D, F, M, and 7 trains at the 42nd Street-Bryant Park station to the north. This strategic location adds to the appeal of the tower, making it a prime address in Midtown Manhattan.

A New Jewel in the Concrete Skyline

Amidst the bustling city streets, a construction project is steadily unfolding, promising to add a touch of modernity to the urban canvas. The latest report from Marin Architects reveals that 57 West 39th Street is set to become a remarkable architectural achievement, with completion anticipated around mid-2025. This upcoming development holds immense potential to redefine the cityscape, an exquisite blend of form and functionality that will captivate both residents and passersby. As the construction progresses, anticipation mounts, and the promise of a striking new addition to the skyline looms on the horizon.
