About
Kevin Swartz brings more than 25 years of senior real estate finance executive experience to the Avison Young Tri-State Debt & Equity Finance team. In his role, Kevin will primarily be charged with originating and executing debt and equity finance assignments in collaboration with Scott and Andy Singer, Principals, and Co-Leads of Tri-State Debt & Equity Finance. Kevin will also spearhead loan workout and restructure assignments. Over his career, Kevin has held senior positions at several institutional lenders, including Morgan Stanley, Brightspire Capital, UBS and Wells Fargo. Kevin also served as a consultant for various institutional clients during the Great Financial Crisis where he advised real estate owners on restructuring of domestic and international distressed debt, completing more than $6 billion of loan workouts, extensions, and discounted payoffs involving securitized and portfolio loans in the U.S. and Europe. Swartz completed his education at the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Southern California, and New York University.
