Whop Secures $200M Investment From Tether At $1.6B Valuation For Global Expansion

Whop has raised $200M in a strategic investment from Tether at a $1.6B valuation, aimed at expanding access to sustainable online income opportunities for Tether’s 500M monthly users. Whop facilitates $3B in annual earnings across more than 130 countries, with 20M users and gross transaction volume growing 25% month over month. Customers range from Samsung and Netflix to F1 and the NFL, plus startups like Polymarket and ElevenLabs and tens of thousands of solopreneurs. The funding will accelerate expansion across Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, support new financial infrastructure, and roll out AI tools focused on “agentic income” for the next generation of entrepreneurs. In partnership with Tether, Whop will also enable stablecoin payments across its global network and further position itself as a destination where the internet does business. IM8 Secures $1 Billion Financing Commitment From General Catalyst For Health Drink ExpansionIM8, the health drink startup co-founded by David Beckham and CEO Danny Yeung, has secured a $1 billion financing commitment from General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund (CVF). Unlike a traditional venture capital investment, the deal is structured as a revenue-based financing arrangement, meaning General Catalyst will not receive an ownership stake and IM8’s existing shareholders will avoid dilution. The funding is designed to support customer acquisition, with General Catalyst financing up to 70% of those costs in exchange for a capped share of revenue generated from the customers acquired through the program.
