Oboe Raises $16 Million In Series A Round Led By A16z And Other Investors
Oboe, an AI-powered course-generation platform founded by Anchor co-founders and former Spotify execs Nir Zicherman and Michael Mignano, has raised $16 million in a Series A round led by a16z, with participation from investors including Eniac, Haystack, Offline, Factorial, and notable individuals like Adam D’Angelo and Garry Tan. Launched in September, the platform lets users set a learning goal and generates personalized courses with text, audio, quizzes, and flashcards, now with unlimited course creation under its revamped pricing. Zicherman said the fresh funding will help Oboe scale its vision of reaching billions of learners, while the startup is enhancing STEM content, refining course modalities, and planning mobile support and international language expansion.
