DoorDash Acquires Deliveroo For $3.87 Billion And SevenRooms For $1.2 Billion

DoorDash, led by CEO Tony Xu, announced two major acquisitions to expand its global footprint and diversify its offerings: it will acquire U.K.-based food delivery rival Deliveroo for £2.9 billion ($3.87B) and restaurant software platform SevenRooms for $1.2 billion in cash. The Deliveroo deal, expected to close in Q4 2025, gives DoorDash access to nine European markets and 50 million monthly users; Deliveroo was founded in 2013 by Will Shu.
