Property Image
Brinc, a Seattle-based drone startup founded in 2017 by 25-year-old Blake Resnick, has raised $75 million in new funding led by Index Ventures, bringing its total funding to $157.2 million. Resnick, who dropped out of college and briefly interned at DJI before founding Brinc, is positioning the company at the forefront of U.S.-made public safety drones amid tightening restrictions on Chinese drone tech. Brinc, which previously raised a $55 million Series B in 2022 and was last valued at $300 million, counts OpenAI CEO Sam Altman among its early investors. The latest round also includes a strategic alliance with Motorola Solutions to integrate Brinc drones directly into 911 call centers, allowing emergency drones to be dispatched in real time. INVESTORS: Index Ventures, Motorola Solutions, Mike Volpi & Dylan Field AMOUNT: $75,000,000 HQ: #Seattle #Washington #VentureCapital #Brinc #BlakeResnick #IndexVentures #MotorolaSolutions #MikeVolpi #DylanField #TradedVC
