Tim is an Associate AIA, and is a consultant to the California Nevada Cement Association (CNCA), communicating with the architectural and development community. Tim is aiding in a campaign of informing architectural, engineering and construction firms for first understanding and ultimately implementing a more environmentally friendly cement to the market. Tim feels it is vital to play an active role in improving the global climate situation that is on most everyone’s mind for our future generations. This greener cement is in the form of Portland Limestone Cement or PLC, which in simple terms, uses about 10% less cement in the cement formulation and is replaced with limestone and therefore allows for about a 10% reduction in greenhouse gases attributed to cement today.
