Waterly Secures $4 Million In Series A Funding Led By Burnt Island Ventures And Emerald
Waterly, a Crystal Lake, Illinois-based watertech startup led by CEO Chris Sosnowski, has raised $4 million in a Series A round led by Burnt Island Ventures with participation from Emerald. The company’s platform helps small to mid-sized operators and utilities manage water and wastewater systems more efficiently through tools for digitizing plant operations, asset management, analytics, and water sampling integration. The new funding will be used to grow its team and expand operations.

Businesses Increase AI Spending As Anthropic Leads Adoption At 43.5%Ramp’s latest AI Index shows businesses are continuing to increase AI spending despite rising pressure from cheaper and open-source models. In July, the top 1% of businesses spent a median $7,400 per employee on AI, compared with $650 for the top 10% and $11.95 for the median firm, while Anthropic led business adoption at 43.5%, ahead of OpenAI at 39.7%.
