Verified Capital, a San Francisco-based venture firm founded by former Coatue partner Kris Fredrickson, has closed its debut fund at $175 million. The firm takes a selective approach, targeting 8 to 10 core investments per fund across any stage or sector, and operates without traditional ownership or board constraints. Backers include prominent founders like Instacart’s Apoorva Mehta, Coinbase’s Brian Armstrong, and Harvey AI’s Winston Weinberg, as well as institutional LPs such as Adams Street Partners, Commonfund, and Northwestern University’s endowment.
