Palo Alto-based Sabi is developing an AI-powered baseball cap designed to translate neural signals into text prompts, allowing users to control AI agents through thought alone. The two-year-old startup’s prototype features up to 100,000 sensors that capture brain activity, which its brain foundational model interprets using 100,000 hours of labeled neural data. Sabi has secured $50 million in seed funding led by billionaire investor Vinod Khosla, despite the technology remaining nascent and largely unproven. CEO Rahul Chhabra says the company aims to make interacting with AI more effortless by eliminating the need to type, click or speak commands.
