RedBird Capital Partners And Sound Ventures Partner To Invest $1 Billion In Emerging Tech

The investors behind some of the biggest names in sports, entertainment, and AI are joining forces.

Gerry Cardinale’s RedBird Capital Partners and Guy Oseary’s Sound Ventures have announced a partnership to invest up to $1 billion in companies at the intersection of technology, media, and culture.

RedBird's portfolio includes Skydance Media, Fenway Sports Group, and the YES Network, while Sound Ventures has backed technology giants including OpenAI, Anthropic, Airbnb, Spotify, and Robinhood.

The partnership will also leverage RedBird X, RedBird’s AI investment and incubation platform, to identify and support emerging technology companies.

The bigger picture: As technology, media, and culture become increasingly connected, the next generation of billion-dollar companies could be built at the intersection of all three.
