Pintarnya Secures $16.7 Million Series A Round Led By Square Peg And Others

Pintarnya, an Indonesian employment and financial services platform founded in 2022 by Ghirish Pokardas, Nelly Nurmalasari, and Henry Hendrawan, has raised $16.7 million in a Series A round led by Square Peg with support from Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India and East Ventures. Built to serve Indonesia’s vast blue-collar and informal workforce, Pintarnya goes beyond traditional job platforms by combining AI-powered job matching with access to safe and affordable financial services, tackling both employment and lending challenges. With over 10 million job seekers and 40,000 employers already using the platform, the company plans to use the new funding to strengthen its technology, expand financial services, and move closer to its vision of becoming a trusted super app for Indonesia’s workers. Businesses Increase AI Spending As Anthropic Leads Adoption At 43.5%Ramp’s latest AI Index shows businesses are continuing to increase AI spending despite rising pressure from cheaper and open-source models.
