Phinity Labs, a San Francisco, CA-based applied research lab for autonomous chip design, raised $5.2 million in seed funding led by Uncork Capital, with participation from Moxxie and angel investors, including Google Chief Scientist Jeff Dean. The round follows a previous pre-seed investment led by Pear VC through PearX. Co-founded by Sonya and Aadi, Phinity Labs develops autonomous software agents that design, evaluate, and revise customized computer architectures and verified silicon specifications. The company will use the funds to build fully autonomous chip design agents, automate the hardware pipeline from architecture discovery through tapeout, expand its engineering team, and strengthen infrastructure for physical feedback testing.
