Oway Raises $4 Million Seed Funding From Y Combinator And General Catalyst For Freight Innovation
San Francisco-based Oway, a YC- and General Catalyst-backed startup founded in 2023 by Phillip Nadjafov, raised $4 million in seed funding to build a decentralized “Uber for freight.” The company uses AI and government-mandated electronic logging devices (ELDs) to match underutilized long-haul truck space with shippers, enabling pallet shipments at up to 50% lower cost. Nadjafov said Oway’s model blends the speed of full truckload with the affordability of less-than-truckload shipping, aiming to cut costs, emissions, and idle time in the $1 trillion U.S. trucking industry.
