Ominimo Secures $11M Investment From Zurich Insurance Group At €200M Valuation
Poland-based AI insurtech startup Ominimo, led by CEO and co-founder Dusan Komar, has secured its first external investment—an €10M ($11M) equity round from Zurich Insurance Group, valuing the company at €200M ($220M). Launched just a year ago and already profitable, Ominimo has sold 300,000 car insurance policies in Hungary and holds a 7% market share. Built by Komar alongside co-founders Dennis Weinbender (Chief Pricing & Data Officer) and Laslo Horvath (CTO), the company leverages AI and big-data analytics to redefine risk assessment. Backed by Zurich, Ominimo plans to expand across 10+ new markets, starting with Poland, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
