Monarch Raises $75 Million In Series B Funding Led By Forerunner Ventures And FPV Ventures
Monarch, a San Francisco-based personal finance app, has raised $75 million in Series B funding led by Forerunner Ventures and FPV Ventures, bringing its valuation to $850 million. Co-founded by Val Agostino, Monarch has seen a surge in subscriber growth following the shutdown of Intuit-owned Mint in early 2024. The raise marks one of the largest for a U.S. consumer fintech startup this year, defying the broader downturn in the sector. Monarch aims to capitalize on the gap left by Mint's closure by offering modern, user-centric budgeting tools.
