Mega Secures $11.5 Million Series A Funding Led By Goodwater Capital With Andreessen Horowitz Participation

Mega, a New York–based startup developing an AI-powered growth engine for small and mid-sized businesses, has raised $11.5 million in Series A funding led by Goodwater Capital, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, SignalFire, Atreides, and Kearny Jackson. The company builds a network of specialized AI agents that manage SEO, paid advertising, and website operations for businesses generating roughly $500,000 to $20 million in revenue, aiming to deliver an enterprise-grade growth team entirely through software. Co-founder Lucas Pellan said the idea emerged when the team, originally building a video game company during the pandemic, experimented with generative AI tools and saw organic traffic increase 100× while paid acquisition costs dropped by 80%. Mega says it scaled from zero to $10 million in revenue in 10 months and plans to use the new funding to expand into email marketing, outbound outreach, social media, lead qualification, and sales operations, moving toward a fully automated growth infrastructure for small businesses. Great Things Invests $40M In Technology Companies While Committing 20% To PhilanthropyWhat if a family office treated philanthropy like venture capital? Giorgos Tsetis, co-founder of Nutrafol, is building Great Things around a simple rule: at least 20% of annual net realized profits go directly to philanthropy. The family office has deployed nearly $40M over the past 18 months into private technology companies including Anthropic, SpaceX, Lila Sciences and others, while committing a portion of the upside to its network of “Impact Partners.” The thesis is simple: give while the wealth is being created, not decades later. Great Things is also becoming more selective on AI, increasingly favoring later-stage companies with proprietary technology, clear paths to liquidity, and the ability to withstand a market correction. Now comes the bigger experiment: can a family office compound capital and impact at the same time, without compromising either?
