Lumotive, a Redmond, WA-based startup pioneering programmable optics through its Light Control Metasurface chips, has expanded its Series B round to $59 million with strategic investments from Amazon’s Industrial Innovation Fund and ITHCA Group, Oman’s tech investment arm. Led by CEO Sam Heidari, the company has now raised over $100 million in venture capital since its founding in 2018. The funding will support sales expansion, marketing, and continued R&D as Lumotive shifts from development to real-world deployment of its solid-state optical chips for applications ranging from autonomous vehicles to data center switching.
