Letta Secures $10 Million Seed Funding Led By Felicis Ventures At $70 Million Valuation
Letta, an AI startup founded by Berkeley PhD students Sarah Wooders and Charles Packer, has emerged from stealth with $10 million in seed funding led by Felicis at a $70 million post-money valuation. Letta's technology, based on the open-source project MemGPT, helps AI models remember users and conversations over time, addressing a key issue with large language models (LLMs). Backed by prominent investors like Google’s Jeff Dean and Hugging Face’s Clem Delangue, Letta is positioning itself as an open-source alternative to proprietary AI solutions.

Volition Capital Closes $950 Million Fund VI For Founder-Owned Technology InvestmentsVolition Capital, a Boston-based growth equity firm, has closed its sixth fund, Volition Capital Fund VI, at its $950 million hard cap, bringing the firm’s total assets under management to more than $2.6 billion. The oversubscribed fund will back founder-owned technology companies across B2B software, internet and consumer sectors, with a focus on capital-efficient businesses navigating AI-driven growth. Managing Partners Roger Hurwitz, Larry Cheng and Sean Cantwell lead the firm, which has invested in more than 60 companies since its 2010 founding.
