Healthleap, founded in South Africa in 2022 by siblings Jemima and Josiah Meyer, raised $38 million to expand its AI platform that analyzes hospital records to flag patients who may have overlooked conditions such as malnutrition and delirium. The company’s software is deployed in more than 50 hospitals, with customers including Penn Medicine, Cedars-Sinai, Intermountain, Houston Methodist and Emory Healthcare, and plans to use the funding to grow engineering, product, sales and customer success while expanding into additional conditions and care settings.
