GPx Raises $500 Million To Support Emerging VCs And Lead Later-Stage Investments
GPx, the new venture firm co-founded by Brian Singerman (former Founders Fund GP) and Lee Linden (co-founder and managing partner of Quiet Capital), is raising over $500 million for a fresh twist on the VC model. With backing likely from Founders Fund co-founder Peter Thiel, GPx combines a partial fund-of-funds approach — investing about 20% into emerging VCs at the pre-seed and seed stages — while reserving the rest to partner with these managers to lead later-stage investments in their breakout companies. Singerman and Linden’s strategy aims to help nimble new VCs scale their best bets, overcoming the pro-rata funding squeeze many early-stage investors face.
