NOTE: Glydways, a South San Francisco-based urban mobility company known for its Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system, has successfully raised $56 million in Series B funding, bringing its total funding to over $70 million, including the conversion of notes worth more than $28 million. Led by CEO Gokul Hemmady and founded in 2016 by Mark Seeger, Glydways aims to provide equitable access to housing, jobs, education, healthcare, and community through its innovative PRT system, featuring autonomous, battery-operated electric vehicles traveling on dedicated lanes, offering efficient, sustainable, and zero-emission transportation options. Glydways has also secured projects, including one with Contra Costa Transportation Authority and Tri Delta Transit, to enhance public transit accessibility in California communities.

Businesses Increase AI Spending As Anthropic Leads Adoption At 43.5%Ramp’s latest AI Index shows businesses are continuing to increase AI spending despite rising pressure from cheaper and open-source models. In July, the top 1% of businesses spent a median $7,400 per employee on AI, compared with $650 for the top 10% and $11.95 for the median firm, while Anthropic led business adoption at 43.5%, ahead of OpenAI at 39.7%.
