Garage Secures $13.5M Series A Funding Led By Infinity Ventures With Benchstrength Wayfinder Ventures FJ Labs
YC-backed Garage (@withgarage), a New York-based startup founded by former firefighter Martin Hunt (CEO) and Alaz Sengul (CTO), has raised $13.5 million in Series A funding, bringing its total to $18 million. The company is building a nationwide marketplace to help fire departments and local governments buy and sell essential equipment like fire trucks, automating appraisals, freight logistics, and payments for a process that has long been manual and fragmented. The round was led by Infinity Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator, Initialized Capital, Benchstrength, Wayfinder, and FJ Labs, and will be used to expand Garage’s team and marketplace reach across all 50 states.

NVent Electric Acquires Maverick Power For $1.75 Billion To Enhance Power InfrastructurenVent Electric has agreed to acquire Maverick Power for $1.75 billion, with up to $550 million in additional performance-based consideration, as it expands its power infrastructure capabilities to meet rising AI data center demand. The McKinney, Texas-based manufacturer of engineered power distribution solutions, which is expected to generate about $700 million in revenue this year, will strengthen nVent’s offerings across switchgear, switchboards, and modular solutions; nVent CEO Beth Wozniak said the deal will enhance the company’s ability to serve data center customers.
