Databricks Secures $5 Billion Funding Round Led By Coatue At $190 Billion Valuation
Databricks has closed a $5 billion strategic funding round at a $190 billion valuation, one of the largest private technology financings to date, as investors continue to back enterprise AI infrastructure. The data and AI software company, led by CEO Ali Ghodsi, has surpassed a $7 billion revenue run rate and plans to use the capital to expand AI products including Unity AI Gateway, Lakebase, and Genie, while supporting hiring and acquisitions. Coatue led the round alongside Blackstone, MGX, T. Rowe Price, and Sixth Street, with the latest raise marking a significant valuation increase from its $134 billion funding round six months earlier.
