Netflix Acquires AI Filmmaking Startup InterPositive For $587 MillionNetflix confirmed that it paid approximately $587 million in cash to acquire InterPositive, the AI filmmaking startup founded by Ben Affleck, according to a recent SEC filing. Founded in 2022 and previously operating largely in stealth mode as Fin Bone LLC, InterPositive developed AI-powered post-production tools that help filmmakers correct continuity issues, enhance visual effects, relight scenes, and streamline editing workflows without generating content from scratch. As part of the acquisition, the entire InterPositive team joined Netflix, while Affleck will remain involved as a senior technology adviser. The confirmed purchase price aligns closely with earlier reports that valued the deal at up to $600 million, making it one of Netflix’s largest acquisitions as the company continues expanding its use of AI across film and television production.
