Blank Beauty Inc. Raises $6 Million In Series A Funding From Evolution VC Partners Kirker Enterprises And EPSON
Blank Beauty Inc., a Knoxville-based tech company specializing in on-demand beauty customization using AI and robotics, has raised $6M in Series A funding led by Evolution VC Partners, Kirker Enterprises, and EPSON. Founded in 2016 by CEO Charles C. Brandon and CTO Ji Lee, the company uses patented robotics and AI color science to create personalized cosmetic products with zero inventory waste. Its innovations include Huey, an in-store robotic system for custom nail polish, and Dolly, an automated fulfillment platform for Shopify orders. The new capital will support scaling, modular supply chain development, and co-branded licensing partnerships, bringing total funding to over $12M.

Businesses Increase AI Spending As Anthropic Leads Adoption At 43.5%Ramp’s latest AI Index shows businesses are continuing to increase AI spending despite rising pressure from cheaper and open-source models. In July, the top 1% of businesses spent a median $7,400 per employee on AI, compared with $650 for the top 10% and $11.95 for the median firm, while Anthropic led business adoption at 43.5%, ahead of OpenAI at 39.7%.
