Bedrock Ocean, founded by Anthony DiMare (CEO), has raised $25 million in a Series A-2 round led by Primary and Northzone to expand its efforts in mapping the seafloor using autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). The company’s innovative AUVs can operate independently for up to 12 hours, capturing high-resolution sonar and magnetic data without the fuel-intensive, disruptive impact of traditional mapping ships. Bedrock’s mapping approach aims to support industries like offshore wind, oil and gas, and environmental assessments, while also attracting interest from the U.S. Navy for its speed and efficiency.
