Arcturus, a Los Angeles-based developer of carbon-infused advanced conductor materials, has emerged from stealth with an $8 million seed round led by Initialized Capital, with participation from 1517, Breakthrough Energy Discovery, Toyota Ventures, and Wireframe Ventures, bringing its total funding to $10 million. Led by founder and CEO Amir Mashal, the company will use the new capital to grow its technical team, scale manufacturing, and advance commercialization of its carbon-enhanced metal materials for applications including electric motors, data centers, and power grid infrastructure.
