Hypersonica, a defence startup based in Feldkirchen, Germany, has secured $100M in a Series A+ funding round led by entrepreneur Sam Altman.
Other participants in this funding round include General Catalyst, Plural, and 201 Ventures. The funds will be utilized to expedite the development of their deep strike system, increase the number of test flights, and expand their operations and manufacturing capabilities in Europe.
Hypersonica is dedicated to creating hypersonic missile technology, aiming to serve the growing demand for advanced defense capabilities. Remarkably, the company achieved a Mach 6 test flight just nine months after transitioning from concept to execution.

The company is led by CEO Philipp Kerth, who has been instrumental in steering its vision and growth.
