Ragie raises $5.5M Seed led by Craft Ventures.
Ragie, an AI company based in Miami, has successfully secured $5.5M in Seed funding, led by Craft Ventures. Other notable investors participating in this round include Valor, Saga VC, and Chapter One.
The proceeds from this funding will support the development of Ragie’s fully managed RAG-as-a-Service platform, which simplifies the process for developers to build AI applications utilizing their own data efficiently.
Ragie is designed to serve developers by enabling them to leverage Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). This technology allows users to connect their data sources to various applications, thereby enhancing the quality and relevance of the AI-generated content. Developers can easily integrate data from platforms like Google Drive, Notion, and Confluence, ensuring a streamlined approach to application development.
The platform also provides vital features such as "Summary Index" to tackle document affinity issues and "Entity Extraction" for retrieving structured data from unstructured documents. With Ragie, developers can avoid the complexities involved in building their own solutions, which often lead to inefficiencies and subpar performance.
Bob Remeika and Mohammed Rafiq founded the company, bringing industry expertise to the project. Their backgrounds help guide Ragie’s mission to enhance the way developers interact with AI applications and their data.
“Ragie was originally developed as a solution for Glue, David Sacks' new chat application, and aims to provide an efficient, fully managed RAG environment that simplifies the development process,” said the founding team. The platform features a free tier for initial exploration and a pro plan for production use, with a special promotion offering an additional free month of Pro to celebrate the launch.
