Michael Yavinsky joined the Capital Markets Debt and Equity practice as a Principal of Avison Young in October 2017. Michael focuses on the placement of debt and equity for various property types, including office, retail, multi-family, hospitality, industrial, land and self-storage properties. To date, Michael has closed more than $8 billion over his 20-year career. Representative clients include First Washington Realty, Lerner Enterprises, L&B Realty Advisors, Federal Capital Partners, Hines Interests and AEW.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Michael spent the last 6 years as a Managing Director for Jones Lang LaSalle in Washington, DC. At Jones Lang LaSalle, Michael focused on debt and equity placement for all property types. Prior to Jones Lang LaSalle, Michael spent to previous 14 years in the commercial mortgage group of Walker & Dunlop in Bethesda, MD as a Senior Vice President.
